History of FCS

  

Faith Christian School has developed since 1978 with God’s guidance and provision.  He has used people and resources to provide a wonderful place for children with facilities for the safety and comfort of all who walk the halls.
  • 1978:  Established Kindergarten and 1st grade, classes held in sanctuary building
  • 1979: Addition of 2nd and 3rd grades
  • 1981: Grades 4 and 5 added
  • 1982: Construction of Lower Building for grades K-8, eventually completed for grades K-12
  • 1996:  Construction of gym with three classrooms; sports program grew into basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball, cheerleading, and eventually cross-country
  • 1998:  Construction of East Wing; library enlarged and relocated from sanctuary building
  • 1999: First graduating class
  • 2003:  Addition to East Wing (classrooms and restrooms); ball fields upgraded; softball field constructed
  • 2006:  New elementary playground funded by PTF
  • 2007-08:  Main Building constructed (new offices, classrooms, and space for ample growth); entire campus improved (parking lots, new sidewalks, landscaping, and better traffic flow)
  • 2007-2008: Boys varsity basketball team in AHSAA Final Four
  • 2009: Computer lab enlarged and upgraded with 25 new computers
  • 2011:  Music suite completed
  • 2012-2014:  Continuous improvement to athletic facilities; multi-purpose room completed; mobile computer lab purchased with 24 new laptops; 48 iPads purchased for two iPad labs
  • 2014-Present: Completion of 7 new classrooms on the 2nd floor of the Main Building
